In the spring of 2017, we started to design a two-year Erasmus+ -project in collaboration with a school in Ulm, Germany (Humboldt-Gymnasium). The idea of the project was to combine music technology and songwriting as well as dance and robotics. At the end of the planning week in Ulm, an application for funding was made to the EU in cooperation with the NEST-Center in Kuopio. The title of the project was ”Creativity in technology – intercultural cooperation in the field of music technology, song writing, programming robots and dancing”. The project was started by teachers Ville Heikkinen and Siiri Ahtola from Kuopion taidelukio Lumit and teachers Henriette Bacher-Martin, Anne Kruwinnus, Guido Bauer, Johannes Götz, Andreas Mayer, and Peter Schäfer from Humboldt-Gymnasium, Ulm. The application was accepted and the project was launched in the autumn of 2017. Because of Siiri’s leave of absence (Anne also), the project included teacher Jaakko Rautiainen and in the spring of 2018 a dance teacher Reetta Varis from Kuopio and Ralf Schuber from Ulm joined our project.
