The play performed in Finland
It was a difficult choice, the one we needed to make about the play in Finland. We first browsed through texts of ancient Greek drama writers and later through works of important modern Greek playwrights. We decided to work with “I want you to give me something” (Greek Title «Θέλω να μου χαρίσεις κάτι») by Anthi Doxiadi Trip. It is an illustrated story about the power of love, written in 2011. We thought that although the text was simple it would talk directly to our students’ hearts. And it did!
Anthi Doxiadi Trip was born and raised in Athens at the time when jasmine was passing through the pine needles. She studied and got her doctorate in America. She found “Perivolaki”, a model center for children with severe emotional disorders, and does psychotherapy with adults. She has two sons who taught her the most important things she knows.
